Congratulations to PY4 students Rachel Black, Jinah Han, Ashley Kang, Bobbie Nguyen, Kevin Tran, and Linda Zheng, who presented results from their Research and Scholarship in Pharmacy (RASP) project at the American Society of Hospital Pharmacists (ASHP) Midyear Clinical Meeting and Exhibition in Las Vegas, NV in December 2019.

Rachel’s abstract is titled, “Projected impact of CYP2C19 pharmacogenomic testing on optimizing medications in addition to antiplatelet therapy in a real-world setting.” Her faculty mentor is Dr. Craig Lee in the Division of Pharmacotherapy and Experimental Therapeutics (DPET).

Jinah’s abstract is titled, “Modelling the Health and Economic Impact of Substandard and Falsified Antimalarials in Myanmar.” Her faculty mentor is Dr. Sachi Ozawa in the Division of Practice Advancement and Clinical Education (PACE).

Ashley’s abstract is titled, “Pharmacist wellness and mental health analysis.” Her faculty mentor is Dr. Heidi Anksorus with Dr. Suzie Harris as a key collaborator, both in the Division of Practice Advancement and Clinical Education (PACE).

Bobbie’s abstract is titled, “Patient-Oncologist Communication Regarding Oral Chemotherapy during Routine Office Visits.” Her faculty mentor is Dr. Jennifer Elston Lafata in the Division of Pharmaceutical Outcomes and Policy (DPOP).

Kevin’s abstract is titled, “Applications of Machine Learning in Infectious Disease Clinical Decision Making.” Her faculty mentor is Dr. Gauri Rao in the Division of Pharmacotherapy and Experimental Therapeutics (DPET).

Linda’s abstract is titled, “Formulation and target identification of a host-directed antibiotic.” Her faculty mentor is Dr. Qisheng Zhang in the Division of Chemical Biology and Medicinal Chemistry (CBMC).
