Congratulations to the following RASP alumni from the inaugural Class of 2019 cohort that have published results from their project as first author of an original research manuscript over the past year: Sarah Beargie, Tenley Brown, Jordyn Higgins, Emily Leonard, Jesse Martin, Michael Patti, Frank Tillman and Kristen Tripicchio.

Sarah’s manuscript is titled, “The economic impact of substandard and falsified antimalarial medications in Nigeria” and was published in the journal PLoS One (citation). Her faculty mentor was Dr. Sachi Ozawa in the Division of Practice Advancement and Clinical Education (PACE).

Tenley’s manuscript is titled, “Analysis of the relationship between patients’ fear of falling and prescriber acceptance of community pharmacists’ recommendations” and was published in the journal Cogent Medicine (citation). Her faculty mentor was Dr. Stefanie Ferreri in the Division of Practice Advancement and Clinical Education (PACE).

Jordyn’s manuscript is titled, “Multicenter study to evaluate the benefits of technology-assisted workflow on IV room efficiency, costs, and safety in small community hospitals” and was published in the American Journal of Health System Pharmacy (citation). Her faculty mentor was Dr. Stephen Eckel in the Division of Practice Advancement and Clinical Education (PACE).

Emily’s manuscript is titled, “Factors affecting health care provider knowledge and acceptance of biosimilar medicines: a systematic review” and was published in the Journal of Managed Care and Specialty Pharmacy (citation). Her faculty mentor was Dr. Michael Wascovich and Dr. Delesha Carpenter in the Division of Pharmaceutical Outcomes and Policy (DPOP).

Jesse’s manuscript is titled, “Frequency and clinical outcomes of CYP2C19 genotype-guided escalation and de-escalation of antiplatelet therapy in a real-world clinical setting” and was published in the journal Genetics in Medicine (citation). His faculty mentor was Dr. Craig Lee in the Division of Pharmacotherapy and Experimental Therapeutics (DPET).

Michael’s manuscript is titled, “Systematic review of medication synchronization in community pharmacy practice” and was published in the journal Research in Social and Administrative Pharmacy (citation). His faculty mentor was Dr. Stefanie Ferreri in the Division of Practice Advancement and Clinical Education (PACE).

Frank’s manuscript is titled, “Assessment of pharmacy-driven transitional interventions in hospitalized patients with psychiatric disorders” and was published in the Journal of the American Pharmacists Association (citation). His faculty mentor was Dr. Suzie Harris in the Division of Practice Advancement and Clinical Education (PACE).

Kristen’s manuscript is titled, “Making the economic value proposition for pharmacist comprehensive medication management in primary care: a conceptual framework” and was published in the journal Research in Social and Administrative Pharmacy (citation). Her faculty mentor was Professor Jon Easter in the Division of Practice Advancement and Clinical Education (PACE).
